1974ウィーン世界園芸博覧会出展日本庭園 Der Japanischen Garten im
この庭園は1974年ウィーン万国園芸博覧会WIG74出展日本庭園にジェトロが出展した流れと石組を主体とした日本庭園である。小滝という感じの滝口と石橋のある流れ、石灯籠、つくばい、鹿おどし、庭石の点在する伝統的な様式を用いて構成されている。また庭園横に茶室を建設し、会期中インフォメーション施設として活用していた。植栽に関しては主に現地にて樹木を集め植栽したようである。日本からはサクラ、花ショウブなどを送り植栽している。しかし、作庭から18年も経過すると痛みが激しく、茶室は子供達の放火により消失してしまった。このようなことが発端になり、（財）都市緑化基金が修復することを決定、中根金作先生の了解を得た上で、箱根植木㈱に改修工事を発注した。

This Japanese garden was exhibited by JETRO at the 1974 Vienna International Garden Exposition (WIG74). The design of the garden, executed by Nakane Kinsaku, incorporates stone arrangements and a stream. It follows the traditional style, using flowing water, stone garden lanterns, a crouching basin arrangement, Shika-odoshi (bamboo pipe fountain), and mottled garden stones. Most of the trees were collected locally, but cherry trees and flowers such as irises were also sent from Japan. A tearoom incorporated into the garden was used as an information center during the exposition.
The garden was damaged in subsequent years; in particular, the tearoom burned down as a result of arson by local youth. This triggered the decision by the Urban Green Space Development Foundation to renovate the garden. The renovation work was carried out by Hakone Ueki, with the approval of the original designer, Nakane Kinsaku.
